Originally, I created art only for myself, my friends, and my whānau. But after receiving so much love and encouragement to share my art more widely, I set up this website and offer my art to the world.
Bold. Vibrant. My art is a celebration of the beauty and magic of being Māori. I’m a māmā to two beautiful girls, a lawyer, and an artist, and I’m grateful to share my life with my husband, Mark.
My mahi toi is my way of capturing the energy, confidence, and beauty of wāhine Māori, while honouring whakapapa and storytelling. It is unapologetically bold, vibrant, and alive with colour. I wanted to create something I couldn’t find anywhere else, art that is both unmistakably Māori and fabulous.
For me, art isn’t just something I create, it’s something I feel. It is a deep connection to who I am, where I come from, and the world around me. Through every piece, I bring that energy to life.
